race for the ROCK!

fabulous weekender

so i had a fabulous weekend...i hope everyone else did too!

on friday anthony & i attended the Makenna Foundation Charity Event.

we had a great time...anthony had to leave early (due to work) but he definitely made it up to me on sunday (i'll tell you about it a little further down!)

saturday was the 1st home football game of the season!
of course a cause for celebration!! i saw this tee (see below) i absolutely love it!! sooo adorable!

& last but certainly not lease...miss priss herself...lilly grace blanford! i love this little pup!

after a very long day of tailgating fun (aka drinking), i headed out with anthony's cousins (misty, megan, & skye). i adore these girls, they are an absolute blast!! i must admit i did drink a little bit too much! ugh! & maybe made a fool of myself....this NEVER happens! ha!

but hey- i am working on it!

anyhow, that brings me to sunday morning. well of course i was not feeling too well & as for anthony...he was not too happy with my drunken-ness the previous evening. however, after a great talk, my fabulous boyfriend ended up taking me to dinner at portfino's! it was delicious!! the only problem i was sipping soda water instead wine because saturday night wore me OUT!

oh well, it happens to everyone right?

after dinner we took a nice walk downtown...it was great!

all in all i had a fabulous weekend with my friends, fam, and boyfriend! i am so lucky to have such great people in my life! i honestly could not ask for a better boyfriend. of course our relationship is not absolutely perfect, but no relationship is. we have a "tiffs". but they are always over silly things. i know neither of us could not image not being with the other.

funny thing- the hardest part of my day is waking up in the morning & getting out of bed? why? because i have to be at work before anthony & he looks so comfy laying in our bed-- it makes me want to stay in bed all day with him! hehe PLUS, i love sleep wayyyy to much!

i am definitely a thankful girl!

now, i'm off to watch some Bravo network! tonight- the Rachel Zoe Project!

i am pretty much obsessed with Rachel Zoe Project , the Real Housewives of D.C., & every other show on Bravo as well!

updating

i have been a busy girl..but i am back to blog!
anthony is off at a job for work soo i have some free time...

so what's been going on? wellll.... anthony and i took a trip to the gorge! it was a short trip but much needed and much fun! i wish we had gotten the chance to get there more this past summer! but we are definitely going to plan a camping trip for this fall. especially because i have NEVER been camping! crazy, i know!! see pics below...

this is anthony's sister (leslie) and mom!! leslie is about 6 months prego!!!! i am so excited!! i am hosting a baby shower for her at the end of september! you will defintely be seeing some pictures from that!!
this is my sister and i. just one of the many backyard bashes at my house! she officially moved back to lexington to start her junior year at UK! very excited for her to be back!
and lately...anthony and i ventured to cincy/newport for an official end of summer celebration! we posted up at "brothers" a little pub at the newport levee and watched some amazing fireworks! we even ran into one of anthony's old fraternity roommates! it was great time....anthony and i definitely needed some quality time together!

Recap...

Oh my, so much has happened since I last wrote!
Let's recap...

1.I took a new position at Aflac. This is a good thing, more $$ AND I get to be in an office doing admin work, PLUS still be a sales rep. It really is the best of both worlds! So I am currently very pleased with this decision.

2. I am officially an assistant for Angela Anderson Photography & I am SO excited about it! (this is my weekend gig, that I do for fun & experience)

If you do not know who Angela Anderson is (which if you are from the Louisville/Lexington area and have friends that have got recently married, I am sure you are familiar with her work). She (along with Amy, Alex, & the rest of the AAP crew) are absolutely amazing! I will have more AAP pics to post soon!

3. We had a great 4th of July weekend at Cumberland Lake.

4. I turned 23! I had very little excitment about this birthday. Does that mean I am getting old? Getting kidding, 23 is still a pretty young pup. Below are some pics from dinner at Merrick Inn & Bellini's later on that night!

so, i don't believe anyone of my close friends are on blogger yet.

however, i have ran across a few interesting one and decided to begin one of my own. here i go...
about me:
i am a 20 something, trying to figure out what i am doing with my life...
as of the moment...
-i have an amazing boyfriend (anthony), of just over a year, i literally would be lost without him.
i recently moved in with him, even though we have pretty much lived together the past 13 months that we have dated. i believe i really have started to love him more and more each day.

-my friends (my bellini's girls plus a few), never fail to keep me laughing AND sipping vino!
-my career, currently a sales representative for aflac- yes the duck! and no- it is not what i what to do with my life, just a job that was handed to me start out of college. during college i interned at the downtown lexington corporation, cornett marketing (a marketing firm that does all advertising for the university of kentucky, buffalo trace, and keeneland, just to name a few), commerce lexington, all while assisting the special events coordinator at bellini's. -other news, well i am parked in lexington until at least the end of the year. while i am here i plan to travel as much as possible away from here...
